We've had a busy start to the new term. We have all had a look at our new classrooms! We should be moving in before half term. We are all excited about moving in!
Literacy - Max, Riley and Terry have been working hard in Year 3 making notes about the Romans. We have found out some interesting facts! Haider, Louis and the Lower Rescource class have been working on the 'Owl and the Pussycat'.
Numeracy - We have busy learning our 5 times tables and solving problems using our 2 and 10 times tables. We have been practising our addtion skills finding totals.
Topic - Our new topic is 'Why are Plants Important ?' So far we have been exploring different plants found in the school grounds, examined fruits and vegetables with seeds in them and planted different seeds. We are growing parsley, chives, strawberries, lavender and beetroot so far! We are looking forward to watching them grow!
Life Skills - We are enjoying our new Life Skills topic of 'Shopping'. We have been to Royton to have a look around and have been finding out what we can buy from the different shops. On Wednesday we became shopping detectives. We had a list of items and had to find them in the different shops.
Coming soon - Next week we are going on a trip to Oldham Library on the bus. We will have a tour of the library and a story session. We will also be having a look around the shops in Oldham.

Ability Sports Roadshow
On Friday 23rd March, Max, Riley and Terry attended a Sports Roadshow at the Mahdlo Centre. They had a great time sampling lots of activities including Wheelchair basketball, Thai boxing, Dance, Archery and art, making banners for the Olympics. The overall favourite activity had to be the wheelchair basketball. They all received a certificate for taking part and Max won a medal for working well as part of a team. Well done Max!!!! All 3 boys were well behaved and a credit to St Pauls.
