Science
During this half term, we will be exploring our next Science topic of Living Things and their Habitats. Our objectives are:
* To identify observable characteristics used to classify living organisms.
* To sort and group animals using a classification key.
* To group and classify plants using a classification key.
* To investigate whether yeast is a living organism.
* To explain how microorganisms are grouped and classified.
* To identify and classify plants and animals in the local area.
History
This term, we will be exploring the topic of the Early Islamic Civilisation. Our objectives are:
* To identify Baghdad’s role in the early Islamic Civilisation.
* To explore the House of Wisdom and how it became a centre for learning.
* To explain some of the significant discoveries and studies which were led by early Islamic scholars and evaluate the impact they made to the wider world.
* To describe who Muhammad is, how the first caliphate came to be formed and explain the roles and responsibilities of a caliph.
* To identify and talk about different forms of Islamic art and create my own geometric pattern based on traditional techniques.
Geography
This term, we will be identifying the Distribution of Natural Resources. Our objectives are:
* To identify some of Britain’s natural resources and explain how they are used.
* To identify some ways in which natural resources are used to produce energy.
* To identify clean and renewable natural resources used to produce electricity, and to discuss the pros and cons of their use.
* To identify parts of the world where wood is produced, and consider some of the problems associated with its production.
* To know where and how steel is produced.
* To know where and how glass and concrete are produced in Britain using natural resources.

Outdoor Adventurous Activity will be taught by Mrs. Green on a Wednesday.
Tennis will be taught by Mrs. Hilditch on a Friday.
